Marco Silva is back in the Premier League, and this time it’s with a club that was in the top flight when I was at Chelsea with some great talents like Saha, Boa Morte, Malbranque and Inamoto, as well as my lunch buddy Edwin Van Der Sar before he moved to Manchester United so we could continue the journey.

Fulham were a team that could cause some surprises and play good football, and they had a great period in the Premier League that lasted from 2001 to 2014. Since then they’ve been up and down between the Premier League and the Championship, and this season they’ve earned another opportunity in the top tier with Mitrovic scoring 40 goals in the Championship this season.

Silva will be hoping to change Fulham’s reputation as a yo-yo team and avoid relegation next year, which is becoming harder and harder for promoted teams with so much money and talent across the Premier League. He’s a manager with Premier League experience after his spells with Everton, Watford and Hull, and that experience could be crucial to Fulham’s chances of survival.

One team that will be adding to the competitiveness of the league is Newcastle, who’ve had a big comeback this season after looking like relegation contenders not too long ago. Now they’re in the top half of the league and will have bigger ambitions next season after their investments in the summer.

Another highlight for Newcastle is the change they have made with Joelinto, turning him from a striker to an attacking midfielder. He marked his 100th Premier League appearance with two goals, and it shows how all of the planning by Eddie Howe works.

A lot of people had big questions around how Howe would handle the financial aspect in getting players to join Newcastle, and he’s gone his own way in bringing the likes of wood in to create his vision and change the team is built.

This shows how the planning works from Eddie, and now we will see how he can build this team back to a top team, like when I was in the Premier League and they had the talents there to try and win the league. #mmlove
