PSG followed their exit from the Coupe de France with a 3-1 defeat against Monaco in Ligue 1 at the weekend, and the results have clearly caused some frustration behind the scenes. The latest setback for PSG is that the dressing room appears not to be under control.

Neymar allegedly locked horns with some of his teammates after their defeat to Monaco, and he has since said: “There is respect but it happens, to have discussions. We are not used to losing, when there are defeats, of course it disturbs us.” He went on to say that some of rumours are true while some of it is certainly not true, but there are reports that Neymar could now be forced out of PSG in the summer.

This came just a week after Kimpembe said he was not made aware that Mbappe had replaced him as vice-captain at the club, and Messi’s two year contract come to an end in the summer meaning he can speak to other clubs about a potential move. There were also rumours that Mbappe could be leaving to join Real Madrid in the summer because that story is finished even if some think it is, but these are all rumours and its unclear to see how things will pan out for PSG.

They now have a tough two legs against Bayern in the Champions League, a competition they would want nothing more than to win. Their three superstar forwards may or may not be heading for an exit, but what we do now is with so much going on, including injuries for Messi and Mbappe on top of the dressing room problems, their tie with Bayern is going to be a challenge for them.

On top of the issues above the team was also hit with a stomach virus over the weekend, which the manager Galtier refused to blame for the result, but admitted it did make things difficult. There was also the transfer issue with Ziyech, and while he wouldn’t have been the solution to all of their problems it shows the string of bad luck PSG appear to be experiencing.

They’ll be going into their Champions League tie as slight underdogs, with Bayern being unbeaten in 19 games. It’s not clear if Mbappe or Messi will be fit enough to start with both returning to training on Monday, but their dream of winning the Champions League will be one step closer to an answer after 90 minutes this evening.
