Arsenal are the only club to make a perfect start to their Premier League campaign after three games, and early signs are that they could be one of the top teams in the league this season.
Last season Arsenal were bottom of the table after three games and were yet to score a goal, so the transformation in that 12 months has been massive for Arteta’s side. The Gunners are playing with a confidence and slickness that we’ve not seen for some years and they have some exciting young players who can grow with the club as part of Arteta’s rebuild.
Their new captain Martin Odegaard put Arsenal on their way to victory against Bournemouth with his first top-flight brace since he was 15. While Saliba became a fan favourite with his goal.
Saka is another player that has always been a talent that I enjoyed watching. He played with so much confidence and he is already playing and acting like one of the leaders. That shows you how much he keeps growing as a player that is performing well and enjoying his football. I think there is even more to come from this talent that has proven that he is mentally strong enough to do more.
Gabriel Jesus is a player that was done waiting and was ready to use all of his experience to move closer to his goals that he had set for himself, by doing great things for a team that needs him more than a team he had to wait for his moment with. He is smart, skilful and is leading the line like a hungry player that wants to go all the way and keep scoring more goals.
We are all aware of the dip Arsenal can have but if they manage to handle all that we are watching a young coach with a team full of talent that is eager for glory.
It’s the first time Arsenal have won all three opening games since 2004, when they were crowned invincibles. Arsenal are not likely to win the league although that could be famous last words after we saw what clubs like Leicester have achieved. But they do have some way to go to reach the levels of man City and Liverpool, they are making strides in the right direction and it will be interesting to see how their season pans out, especially when they face the rest of the top six.
Consistency will be the big challenge and maintaining any form after the world cup will be a big challenge for every club as it will almost feel like a new season in the New Year.
But Arsenal has got some good talent and the fans are smiling again after their fast start to the new season. #mmlove
