Rangers have stopped their fierce rivals from winning the Scottish Premiership for a tenth consecutive time.
It has been a long wait for blue part of Glasgow but you can see from their celebrations that it’s been well worth the wait. Steven Gerrard is the man to help Rangers lift their first title in 10 years, their 55th league title in history which makes them the club with the most league titles in world football history.
And it hasn’t been an easy ride after the club had to start again from the bottom. “The supporters are what makes this club and it is for them and we have been down at times, really low at times, but this is an incredible high,” said Gerrard after the victory that sealed the title. They were in the bottom tier of Scottish football in 2012 after their financial collapse, retuirning to the top flight five years ago.
And now Gerrard says “there is more to come” as Rangers gear up for Champions League football next season.
If you look at their record so far this season it is special. Still unbeaten, they have dropped just eight points with 28 wins in 32 matches. They have scored 77 goals and conceded just nine all season, and only two goals have been conceded at Ibrox.
It’s very hard to make the transition from great player to great manager, but Gerrard is off to a good start and it’s exciting to see what he can do next.
We all know what is happening on the other side where Stevie G is always being mentioned. He is definitely one of the coaches that is keeping his eyes on his beloved team and the club is also looking at him. But I don’t think he will make the move from Glasgow to Liverpool just yet.
What Klopp has done so far has been great to watch. Steven also made it clear that the fans love Klopp and now are waiting to see if Liverpool can get back to their winning ways again. It is a very difficult task because they have been the team to watch for a while but now things have changed. #mmlove
